The dates are now FINAL for our trip! We are departing the US on 5/20 and will return on 6/14. 3 weeks and 4 days in Africa! Okay, now it's starting to feel like a reality! Unfortunately, all I know right now is the departure/arrival dates. No details yet on our itinerary once we are in Uganda...
My "vacation" from school is totally not feeling anything like a vacation. I've worked pretty much every day so far, with the exception of a weekend spent with the family for Christmas. But, at least I'm busy with work! As far as packing for the trip-I still have my suitcase sitting out on the floor of my bedroom. There isn't a whole lot packed yet, because I'm really not sure what to bring?! I have a small stockpile of baby wipes (which will be my daily shower) and a swimsuit, in case we go whitewater rafting on the Nile! But, I haven't tried the suit on, so I'm not actually sure it still fits. Other than that, I have a partially used box of Nitrile exam gloves that are leftover from when I took Advanced Human Anatomy at Marquette. And that is all! I am hoping that the itinerary will be finalized soon, and we will know what to bring/expect in the next few weeks.
